WNPL Club Championship

Firstly, we would like to apologise for the lack of Womens game content we have been producing this season, which is honestly close to nothing.

So let’s right our wrongs and update everyone on the Womens Club Championship standings. Keeping in mind that the Womens NPL no longer has State League, only NPL and NPL 2, with a girls conference league restricted to under 17s with no seniors.

And I’m sure we all know our thoughts on that.

Without further ado, let’s get started.

Sydney Uni are currently sitting 1st in NPL 1, with a 14 point lead over Manly United,

Macarthur Rams aren’t too far behind on 64 points, with Illawarra Stingrays rounding out 4th on 57.

In last place and looking down the barrel of relegation is Sutherland FA. Their first grade side is yet to register a point, and their reserve grade side is sitting 3rd last with only 9 competition points.

Locked into a relegation battle with them is Bankstown City with their 15 points awarded solely through the efforts of their 1st graders, with their points worth triple of reserve grades.

In the Womens NPL 2 competition, Sydney Olympic is having a season much like their men. They are out in front on 109 points, a 15 point lead over APIA Leichhardt.

Back from them in 3rd is Central Coast Mariners on 88 points who are very much still in the hunt.

Down the bottom end and really struggling for points are Southern Branch and St George, both teams yet to register a point for their 1st grade sides.
