Sunday, the 18th of April, Gladesville Ryde Magic FC and Bankstown United played off in a very special match.

The match was the inaugural Stroke Recovery cup which both teams will now compete for twice a year.

The match played out as a 1-0 victory to the Magic on the park with Daniel Rigby named man of the match for the winning side. However, it was off the pitch where the magic happened, and goals were scored.

Thanks to the enormous efforts of everyone involved in getting the Stroke Recovery Cup off the ground, enough money was raised to donate two ipads to the St George Hospital rehabilitation ward, to assist patients with their rehab.
