As much as we’d love to have a laugh and declare the rain to have played in two matches of the week, this week it goes to Spirit and their tight win over Rydalmere. Locked at 1-1 going into the break, Spirit maintained their unbeaten start to the season with a gritty win over the Lions who piled on the pressure late in the game.

Spirit maintain their lead at the top of the table, 3 points ahead of the chasing pack.

Dunbar 1 – 1 SD Raiders
WNSW 0 – 4 Dulwich Hill
Hawkesbury – Stanmore (Washed Out)
Parramatta – Inter Lions (Washed Out)
Sydneu Uni 3 – 0 Camden Tigers
Bankstown United 2 – 2 Bankstown Lions

Round 2s match of the round goes to the Bankstown derby on the new synthetic pitch at Jensen Park.
Lions took a 1 nil lead into the break before Mitch Cross and Sean Robertson fired in 2 goals to switch the lead to United. However it wasn’t meant to be as the Lions clawed their way back to share the spoils. Bragging rights will have to wait til later in the year.
