As Wollongong Serbija, the club played in the Illawarra Churches Competition in 1983 before progressing through the ranks into the Illawarra Soccer Association 2nd Division, then to the 1st division and finally the Premier League. Years of hard work and promotions would eventually culminate in their 1998 Premier League Grand Final win.

Albion Park Soccer club was a young club that played in the Illawarra 2nd division, getting their taste of success in 1991, becoming premiers, champions and gaining promotion into 1st division.

Since forming in 2000, the club has only missed out on a top 5 finish on 3 occasions. Their 3 grand final wins (plus Wollongong White Eagles 1998 triumph) puts them as one of the regions most successful clubs.
