2nd/3rd September Results and Tables

It was Rockdale City Suns taking on Manly United FC in the preliminary final. After a nail biting 90 minutes for both sides, the scores were locked at 2-2 after a half time score of 1-1. Unfortunately for Rockdale it wasn’t to be, with Manly winning on penalties 5-4 and moving to the grand final where they will face APIA Leichhardt Tigers for the NPL Championship.

In the elimination finals, it was Mt Druitt Town Rangers v Northern Tigers and a Mariners derby. Unfortunately the Tigers form slump continued as they went down 4-3 on pens after finishing 1-1. North Shore Mariners put on a dominant display as they beat Central Coast 3-1.

The question now is, do North Shore have it in them to beat Marconi on the weekend? And who will prevail between St George and Mt Druitt Town?

We finally have our finalists!

Rydalmere finished 1st, 2 points ahead of 2nd placed Fraser Park with a strong 5-0 win over bottom placed Balmain Tigers. Fraser Park also had a dominant 4-0 win over 13th placed Inter Lions.

St George City managed to hold onto 3rd with a 3-2 win over Gladesville Ryde Magic whilst Dulwich Hill finish up 4th beating SD Raiders 4-1.

SD Raiders have surprised everyone but themselves and finished 5th on the table, putting them through to the finals, whilst Gladesville Ryde held onto 6th place beating out Hawkesbury City on GD whilst Sydney Uni fell short by a point.

State League

Camden Tigers defeated Bankstown United 4-2 to become the 2017 Mens State League Champions, which caps off an amazing season for them, winning the championship as well as gaining promotion to NPL 3 next season.
