Dulwich Hill FC
Dulwich Hill FC was founded in 1968 by members of Sydney’s Portuguese community from the island of Madeira, whom lived in Dulwich Hill and the surrounding suburbs. The club plays out of Arlington Oval, whose grandstand featured in the Australian movie The First Kangaroos (1988).
The club’s logo is based on the flag of Madeira, featuring the Portuguese Cross of Christ. The cross’s origin comes from the Kinghts of Templar, later becoming the symbol of the Order of Christ. The club has close affiliation with Fraser Park FC (NPL 2) which was also founded by Portuguese immigrants and as such have developed a derby throughout their history.
