It all comes down to this weekend. Promotion and relegation still both on the table. Who will be the lucky ones to move to NPL 2 next year? And who will be joining the State League?
Rydalmere Lions take a 4 point lead into the last round over Fraser Park after Fraser won their remaining catch up games.
Fraser Park will take on the lowly Inter Lions whilst Rydalmere take on Balmain Tigers who are currently in dead last. A win almost guaranteed for both teams in 1st grade means that we will have to watch the 18s and 20s earlier in the day.
The relegation battle comes down to Granville Rage and Balmain Tigers, with Balmain sitting on the bottom. Granville play Dunbar Rovers whilst Balmain have the monumental challenge of overcoming Rydalmere, who are looking to seal promotion.
However that does mean if Balmain win, they will most likely escape relegation as well as stop the Lions from their aspirations of moving up to NPL 2 next season.
It’s a funny game football.
