Club Championship Overview – August Week 3

We’re getting right down to the end of the business season now with only a handful of games remaining in the NPL 2 and NPL 3 competitions.

In the NPL 1, it is already established that Blacktown City are the overall Club Champions whilst Parramatta FC are being relegated.

In the NPL 2 competition, Marconi Stallions have qualified for promotion. At the other end, Bankstown Lions will be heading to the NPL 3 competition as of next season.

The State League Championship is already decided with Camden Tigers gaining promotion to the NPL 3 Competition.

That leaves only the NPL 3 competition to look at and determine who will be going up and down.

NPL 3

Fraser Park have finally played their remaining catch up games against Granville Rage, winning both the U20s and 1st grade. This means that Rydalmere hold a 10 point advantage over Fraser Park, 408-398.

With the penultimate round this weekend, a 32 point swing to Rydalmere will hand them promotion. It is still very much up in the air as Rydalmere play Dulwich Hill and Balmain whilst Fraser Park play Sydney Uni and Inter Lions.

At the other end, Granville Rage trail Balmain Tigers by just 3 points. The next two weeks will determine the fate of the clubs, which one will drop down to State League and which one will survive another season in the NPL 3 competition.
