B-League: What You Can Do To Help

There has been a lot of talk the last few days about the push again for a B-League in Australia. The Association of Australian Football Clubs has appointed it’s 8 directors ahead of their first AGM this year. Even the Sydney Morning Herald has gotten on board with a story on it found here.

Instead of regurgitating what the media outlets have already said, we thought it might be more beneficial to detail ways that you, the football fans can get involved in this push for a national second division.

Firstly, The AAFC have social media outlets through Facebook and Twitter. To stay up to date with all the latest news, make sure you’re following/have liked those pages. We will also be doing our best to provide updates as they come to hand.

Secondly, contact the FFA via email, stating your support for a national second division. Their email address is reception@footballaustralia.com.au. Below is a template email that we have provided, all you have to do is copy, paste and send!

Dear FFA,

I would like to show my support for the creation of a national second division, created with the assistance of the Association of Australian Football Clubs (AAFC). I believe that a second division should be one of the priorities on your agenda, along with expansion, and both should be introduced to Australian Football ASAP.

Regards,

Also, we have set up a petition that you can sign! You can find it here: https://www.change.org/p/football-federation-australia-ffa-prioritise-the-establishment-of-a-national-second-division-asap

Lastly, and most importantly would be to continue to turn up and support your local football teams throughout NPL and State League levels. By purchasing memberships and increasing crowd figures, a message would be sent to the FFA that the people, the fans want to see this second division be created, and sooner rather than later. The more support, the better!
