April 27th + 28th Results + Match of the Round

NPL 1

Match of the Round

This week it goes to the hotly contested Wolves v Sharks match. In a game where it looked as though the Wolves would suffer their first defeat to their rivals, Taylor McDonald kept the unbeaten run alive with a goal from the corner.

However the major talking point is definitely Djordjevics worldie. Words cannot do it justice, simply watch below.

NPL 2

Match of the Round

So I really didn’t want to pick the Wanderers for this one as there were so many other good games, however it is hard to look past a side that puts 6 against a quality opponent.

Western Sydney has sent a message to the rest of the league; they’re on the path for promotion. Peterson opened the goal scoring with a well placed free kick, did the same for his 2nd and finished the day with a hat-trick.

NPL 3

Match of the Round

Stanmore and Camden played a game for the neutrals, a 3-3 draw. Camden found their way back into the match after being down 3-0 just after the break and perhaps had the chance to find a winner, however the two clubs shared the points in a game Stanmore will be scratching their heads how it all went wrong.

State League

Match of the Round

Alright so we can’t give it to our favourite side Gazy who had a tough match against the bye, s instead we’ll go with the 1-0 “upset” of Hurstville v Condors.

Hurstville inflicted the Condors their first loss of the season in what is going to be the tightest league of them all. With both teams desperate to get promotion for survival, HFC took the 3 points home with them thanks to a free kick from Paul Gagro.
