9th/10th September Results – NPL Finals
- Updated: September 20, 2017

Another weekend, another Championship decided, this week in the NPL 2 competition. Before we discuss the winner though, let’s make our way through the leagues.
National Premier League Finals
Over the weekend, APIA Leichhardt defeated Adelaide City 1-0 to progress to the semi finals. They will travel to Heidelberg United who defeated Bayswater City 3-1.
In the other games Edgeworth Eagles defeated Canberra Olympic 4-1 to win the right to host Brisbane Strikers who defeated South Hobart 4-2.
Amazingly, all 4 away teams won on the weekend. Could this be a sign for this weekends games?
NPL 2
Marconi ended their dominant season with a massive grand final over Mt Druitt Town Rangers to be crowned the NPL 2 Champions. We wish them the best of luck as they return to the top flight in NSW next season.
NPL 3
And finally in the NPL finals, to no ones surprise Rydalmere Lions and Fraser Park have won their way through to the grand final.
Rydalmere defeated SD Raiders 4-2 whilst Fraser Park defeated St George 3-0.
With Rydalmere already winning the Premiership and promotion, will Fraser Park be able to claim the Championship?
